Amanda Louise Barrell, 35, of Blandon, PA died unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 17, 2017. Married for three years, Amanda was the loving wife of Scott Heffner. Born August 21, 1981, she was a daughter of Debra (Kintz) Barrell and the late Steven Barrell.
A 1999 graduate of Schuylkill Valley High School and 2003 graduate of Kutztown University, Amanda pursued a career in Marketing. She was the Office Manager at Tweed Weber from 2003 to 2010. Amanda was an avid soccer player and enjoyed mountain biking and ski trips to Vermont. Known to be somewhat of a daredevil, Amanda had a fearless approach to life. She was incredibly talented and crafty; she could make jewelry, weave baskets, and knit. She loved being with her family, spending time with Scott, and she adored her nieces and nephews. Amanda also loved her dogs, Katt and Phil.
In addition to her husband and mother, Amanda is survived by three sisters, Christie Himmelreich and her husband Chris Brown, Mary Kunkle and her husband Cory, Tricia Barrell and her husband Stephen Kobryn; ten nieces and nephews, Kayla, Savannah, Aaron, Abigail, Riley, Dominic, Sophia, Everett, Natalie, Olivia; and her grandmother, Janice Kintz.
In addition to her father, she is predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Richard Kintz and paternal grandparents, George Barrell and Betty Hill.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Milkins Giles Funeral Home, 4914 Kutztown Rd. Temple, PA where Reverend Victor A. Kroninger will officiate. Interment will immediately follow in Good Shepherd Cemetery, Reading, PA. The family will receive friends and relatives on Tuesday, May 23rd from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
