Elizabeth A. “Betty” Weaver, 94, formerly of Kutztown, passed away early Tuesday morning in Country Meadows of Allentown surrounded by friends and family.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late John and Lizzie Riegel. She graduated from Wilson High School and was married to the late Miles A. Weaver who passed away March 16, 1978.

Betty and her late husband Miles were the owners and operators of Weaver’s Sporting Goods in Kutztown for many years and were members of Good Shepherd United Church of Christ in Tuckerton.

She was a caring and loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Betty lived life to the fullest while remaining humble and compassionate to everyone. A very playful, spirited, and adventurism person, she enjoyed traveling, playing bingo, gardening, and watching the Phillies.
Betty is survived by her children, Joan (Weaver) Young of Sedona AZ and Larry M. Weaver and wife Judith (Stevens) Weaver of Easton, MD, her four grandchildren, Jennifer Cichon, Andrea Cooper, Stevens Weaver, and Ananda Fortune, and five great grandchildren, Katie, Ryan, Meghan, Kyle, and Meera. She is also survived by her sister Mary Jane Anderson of Albuquerque, NM, and is predeceased by five brothers and one sister.

Family and friends may attend a visitation with the family on Friday, August 18th from 10 am until 11 am in the Milkins Giles Funeral Home, Inc., 4914 Kutztown Rd. Temple.

A graveside service will be held on Friday August 18th at 11:30 am at the Good Shepherd Cemetery, 170 Tuckerton Rd., Reading, PA ( Muhlenberg Twp.)
